Certify in CPR and First Aid

This course is for individuals who need or want to certify in CPR, AED and Universal First Aid. This is an American Red Cross Course and will certify students who sucessfully complete the course for 2-years.
The Course will cover the skills needed to help save a life and include CPR and AED components for Adults and Pediatrics (Children and Infants) as well as First Aid skills.
The course is about 7 hours long and will include video and live demonstrations, practice sessions with your instructor, and a written test. Class will start at 8am and pause at about 12pm for lunch and resume again at 1pm until 4pm.
About the instructor
Michael Gorman has been a Red Cross Instructor since 2002. With over 20 years of experience with the American Red Cross, Michael holds or has held certifications to teach and train teacher in the following courses:
- Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid for the lay responder
- Basic Life Support
- CPR for the Professional Responder
- Wilderness First Aid
- Emergency Medical Responder (formerly 'First Responder')
- Emergency Oxygen Administration
- Blood Borne Pathogens
...As well as several American Red Cross Disaster Courses.
Since 2002, Michael has served his community, responding to small and large disasters across the country. As a member of the Disaster Action Team (DAT), he responded to many house and apartment fires across New Mexico - helping those affected immediately following a disaster. From 2013-2014, Michael served New Mexico throught the Nationl Preparedness and Response Corps (NPRC) where he responded to Local, State, National and Tribal Disasters including 4 Presidential disasters.
Michael continues to serve the community as a CPR and First Aid Instructor as well as though the Civil Air Patrol as a volunteer.
