We'll also provide information on the current availability of the work and the price range of these. We have limited records on R.C. Gorman's original one-of-a-kind paintings and drawings and cannot provide authentication through this portal. However, there may be limited information on some works we would be happy share or provide some context for the era of your piece. Do you wish to continue?
We have very good records on R.C. Gorman's Lithographs, Serigraphs, Bronzes and Ceramic Editions and we will likely be able to help you identify your work. However, there may be limited information on some works. Do you wish to continue?
Posters have a value from $50-$600, we are happy to help you identify what you have, but our records are limited and we may only be able to verify what you already know. Do you want to continue?
Is this work SIGNED? (This may include photocopy signatures, pen, pencil or marker signatures with or without a dedication.
Look along the bottom edge of the paper. Check or the following "Chopmarks" - or embossings - into the paper. Some works may have multiple or none. Sometimes these may be obscured by framing. Check all that apply

Tips for photos:

We don't need professional photos for this process, but do need to be able to see certain details. You can use a cell phone to take these, but use these tips to ensure good photos:

  1. Use a clean cloth to gently clean your lens. A number of oils and dust collect on your lens and can blur the photos.

  2. Turn OFF your flash. The flash will reflect off of the glass and create a large glare. If you need additional light, try lighting from the sides to reduce glares.

  3. Place the artwork facing AWAY from light sources that cause reflections and glares. Windows, lamps, and lights will all create reflections.

  4. If all else fails, try taking a photo from the side or slightly elevated or below the center of the artwork.
