Michael Gorman is offering a free one hour talk about the role the Navajo Code Talkers had in WWII, their return home, and their continued legacy. Authors Judith Avila (Code Talker) and and Illustrator, Julia Miner will also be there to talk about the creation of their books.

About the event
Michael Gorman is offering a free one hour talk about the role the Navajo Code Talkers had in WWII, their return home, and their continued legacy.
Judith Avila, Co-Author of Code Talker: the first and only memoir by one of the original Navajo Code Talkers of WWII will discuss working with Chester Nez to create this moving and unique book about an American hero
Sara Hoagland Hunter, author of The Unbreakable Code and Illustrator, Julia Miner will also be there to talk about the creation of their book.
This will take place in the Michael Gorman Gallery, where the first ever art show featuring Navajo Code Talkers and their descendants is taking place.
The Gallery opens at noon for purchasing books in advance, and for viewing of the artwork and sale.
