About the event
You’re invited to a special afternoon gathering to celebrate Land Shadows, the debut novel by artist and storyteller Ron Striegel. This event will take place at the home of Don & Vicky Zilloux, Formerly the R.C. Gorman Navajo Gallery, from 3:00pm-6:00pm on Saturday August 9th.
In a narrative that spans generations and geographies, Land Shadows weaves two parallel migrations: one of a European family searching for a place in a new world, and another of Indigenous people uprooted from their ancestral lands. Set across borderlands both literal and emotional, the novel resonates with a present-day longing—for belonging, for ancestral truth, and for the quiet reckoning that comes when personal and national histories collide.
