“Looking Back” | by Savannah Renée
India Ink and Acrylic on Glass
Framed (13 1/4” x 23 1/8” x 3/4”)
Savannah Renée uses a wet media technique in her works to achieve the beautiful and unique dispersions in her pieces. In "Looking Back" she worked directly on the glass and spaced the glass over a piece of white mat board to create a stunning backlit effect.
Savannah Renée currently lives and creates in Taos. She grew up back and forth between Washington in the Pacific Northwest and New Mexico and Texas. Her works are very personal and reflect the artists various emotions and states of mind.
Savannah Renée has been shown at The Michael Gorman Gallery since its opening in 2018. She has also shown at Mayé Torres' Studio 107-B, and a featured artist at Palaski Fine Art. She was included in the Taos 40 Under 40 show (where this piece was also featured) at the Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) in 2019/2020 as well as the Taos Fall Arts Festival in 2018 and 2019.
